CPR ACTION PLAN WITHDRAWN
Crofty Developments has welcomed Kerrier District Council’s decision to withdraw the Camborne Pool Redruth Area Action Plan (CPR AAP) and looks forward, as major landowners in the area, to being consulted on the preparation of new documents, policies and plans.
Crofty Developments enjoys a good working relationship withKerrier District Council and will work hard to ensure that relationship continues and prospers. The company has repeatedly stated that the Dudnance Lane Implementation Plan is incompatible with mining and hopes that the withdrawal of the CPR AAP will give all parties involved an opportunity to revisit the proposals – particularly in light of the recently announced investment in the mine and a major acceleration in activity.
Charles Stericker, Director ofCrofty Developments said:
‘I am very pleased that Kerrier has announced this fresh start and look forward to working with them on their new plans. The Camborne Pool and Redruth area has suffered from many years of neglect but is now poised to enjoy, once again, the enormous benefits that a profitable mine can bring. With modern mining methods, the mine’s surface no longer has to look like a wasteland but the development that takes place has to be done in close collaboration with the mine’s owners. I believe that, with Kerrier’shelp, that can be achieved.’
